Sr. Design Engineer

As a visionary Senior Design Engineer at Mechtex, you will be responsible for spearheading the design and optimization of next-generation electromechanical systems. Your role will involve bridging the gap between complex theory and functional hardware, overseeing CAD development, prototyping, and rigorous testing. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop new parts and products as per required specifications - Record technical data of samples provided by customers - Document new development processes and products including design validation plans, input data, output data, etc. - Check and validate dimensions according to drawings in new developments until handover to production - Prepare BOM in SWAN (ERP) software as per sales code - Review customer drawings based on order codes from Sales and Marketing and for new customer inquiries - Coordinate with production department for any changes in BOM - Finalize and approve drawings, BOM, and item masters - Coordinate testing with production and quality departments - Conduct trials as needed and make necessary design/specification changes based on inputs - Release new drawings and BOM to QC, production, purchase, sales, and stores for newly developed products - Monitor activities of internal departments and approve initiated changes - Ensure timely delivery of Customer Development & Adaptation Center (CDAC) items - Coordinate with marketing department to prioritize CDAC items delivery - Conduct assembly and testing of samples provided by customers for both existing and new development products - Study customer samples and check feasibility in the design & development stage - Create flow charts, work instructions, and other necessary documents - Provide inputs to the sales and marketing department regarding customer drawings - Perform random checks on shop-floor operations - Handle team and internal work in the absence of other colleagues Qualifications Required: - Experience: 6 - 8 years in manufacturing - Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - Skills Required: Proficiency in 3D & 2D Drawing, Creation of BOM in SAP, AutoCAD, Solidworks Company Details: Mechtex is a company that values innovation and precision in engineering.
