WLAN Firmware Engineer

Job Description : The role is to develop/support firmware for range of Wireless LAN devices (IEEE 802.11). It would involve low level hardware bring-up, verification of different hardware modules, FPGA based development, and new Wi-Fi protocol development. Successful candidates will be expected to be fully familiar with IEEE 802.11 / WFA protocols and take full responsibility for the development and maintenance of WLAN firmware. Candidate will have solid proven experience in developing firmware Design and development experience in firmware for IEEE 802.11 or any wireless technology and underlying PHY and MAC Experience of low level hardware bring-up, hardware programming, system analysis and debugging of the firmware Experience of debugging hardware issues and resolving with hardware team is also highly desired Excellent C programming skills with proven experience of writing efficient code for embedded environment. Good understanding of USB / SDIO / PCIE interfaces Exposure to FPGA based development Strong communication skills with ability to create design documentation detailing complex features and applications Conversant with embedded development tools, debuggers, protocol analyzers (OmniPeek, Wireshark), JTAG, Bus analyzers, Logic analyzers etc Experience of full product development life cycle, from requirements to product validation in customer platforms. Self driven and positive attitude.
