About the role
Technology Scouting: Stay updated on emerging automation, robotics, and control technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and cost efficiency. Vendor Evaluation: Compare multiple automation vendors based on performance, reliability, maintainability, and ROI to recommend the best-fit solution. System Design & Innovation: Design and validate integrated automation systems that enhance throughput, reduce manual effort, and improve sorting accuracy. Design the warehouse in CAD tools for optimising manpower & material movement. Breakdown RCA: Conduct root cause analysis of part and system failures to prevent recurrence and enhance equipment reliability. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance and operational costs without compromising performance or reliability. Machine Longevity: Recommend design and operational improvements to extend the life of equipment and reduce replacement frequency. Prototype & Testing: Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to pilot new technologies, validate performance, and scale successful implementations. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, product, and software teams to ensure seamless automation–software–process integration.
