About the role
Role & responsibilities 1. Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture Carve-Out - Collaborate with enterprise architects to design and build a greenfield AWS Landing Zone using AWS Control Tower/Organizations tailored for the standalone DePuy Synthes entity. - Formulate and execute migration playbooks for moving multi-tier MedTech applications from J&Js; legacy consolidated cloud infrastructure to the new environment with minimal business disruption. - Strategy and execution of new VPC architectures, Transit Gateways, Route 53 separation, and VPN/Direct Connect re-routing away from J&J; corporate networks. 2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation - Audit, refactor, and decouple shared Terraform modules, CloudFormation templates, or Ansible playbooks to eliminate inter-dependencies between J&J; and DePuy assets. - Securely isolate and migrate Terraform state files without breaking cross-account dependencies. 3. CI/CD & Identity Isolation - Rebuild and isolate independent CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins) away from corporate shared services. - Assist Identity teams in transitioning from unified J&J; IdPs (Azure AD/Okta) to independent DePuy access models, restructuring IAM roles, policies, and Service Control Policies (SCPs) to mirror the recent organizational boundary. 4. Security, GxP & Data Governance - Ensure all newly established DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure adhere strictly to GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and GDPR regulations. - Execute zero-contamination data migration strategies for S3 buckets, RDS databases, and DynamoDB tables, validating that no legacy J&J; internal data is pulled into the new environment. Required Skills & Qualifications - Deep technical knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, VPC, IAM) and enterprise-level management tools (AWS Control Tower, Organizations, AWS Organizations SCPs, AWS RAM). - Direct experience working on corporate demergers, spin-offs, or complex cloud-to-cloud mig .
