Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in designing Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and Industrial Automation Equipment . The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD , with the ability to develop innovative machine designs from concept to commissioning. Key Responsibilities Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) based on customer requirements. Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks . Prepare 2D fabrication and assembly drawings using AutoCAD . Design machine structures, fixtures, conveyors, and automation mechanisms. Select and integrate standard mechanical components such as Linear Guides, Ball Screws, Bearings, Gearboxes, Pneumatic Cylinders, Servo Systems, and Motors . Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation. Collaborate with Electrical, PLC, and Controls Engineers for complete machine integration. Support prototype assembly, testing, machine trials, and commissioning activities. Resolve design and manufacturing issues while ensuring quality and timely project delivery. Required Skills Mandatory Experience in Special Purpose Machine (SPM) Design Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Knowledge of Machine Design, GD&T, Manufacturing Drawings, and Assembly Design Experience in Pneumatic Systems, Material Handling, Conveyors, and Automation Equipment Understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical component selection Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in the following industries will be preferred: Industrial Automation Factory Automation Special Purpose Machine (SPM) Manufacturing Machine Building Automotive Automation Material Handling Systems Packaging Machinery Robotics & Automation System Integration Why Join Us?
