About the role
As a Backend Engineer at Meltwater, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge social solutions for the global client base within the Explore mission. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing use cases - Planning and estimating work efforts - Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software components - Taking full ownership of developed services within the team - Creating robust and scalable software solutions using Java and related technologies - Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet business requirements - Designing efficient algorithms, data structures, and multithreaded applications for optimal performance - Participating actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle - Researching and evaluating new technologies - Troubleshooting and debugging software issues - Contributing to code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical documentation Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development using Node, Typescript, Azure Cloud - Proficiency in Functional Programming, TypeScript features, performance optimization, memory management, and CPU utilization - Experience with testing frameworks like Jest - Familiarity with dependency management tools - Designing and maintaining microservices in a distributed architecture - Deployment expertise in cloud environments - Knowledge about Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker for containerization and orchestration At Meltwater, comprehensive paid time off options, health insurance, employee assistance programs, a hybrid work environment, family leave program, professional development opportunities, and more are offered.
