Manufacturing/ Process/ Production Engineer

As a Process & Operations Engineering Expert at Mercor, you will be responsible for the following tasks: - Build long-horizon ops-engineering tasks with deterministic rubrics for agent performance evaluation. - Develop scenarios in process documentation including process flow diagrams and SOPs. - Conduct yield and quality analyses with ground-truth defect rates and root-cause investigations. - Create FMEAs and Six Sigma writeups with verifiable statistical outputs. - Work independently and focus on challenging scenarios requiring long sessions of concentration. Qualifications: - BS or MS in Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering. - 3 years in process operations or manufacturing engineering. - Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), SPC, FMEA, root cause methodology (5 Whys fishbone 8D). - Proficiency in ops-engineering artifacts: process flows, SOPs, FMEAs, project charters, kaizen reports. - Strong written communication skills for encoding reasoning into deterministic rubrics. Please note that this is a contract position with compensation ranging from $75 to $100 per hour. The location for this role is remote.
