About the role
Role & responsibilities PLC Development & Maintenance: Design, program, and optimize PLC-based automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce downtime. IoT & Data Connectivity: Establish and manage data connectivity between IoT devices, PLCs, robots, and energy monitoring systems for real-time data collection and process optimization. Integration with Factory Infrastructure: Work on IoT solutions to seamlessly integrate automation systems with factory infrastructure for real-time monitoring and control. Industrial Communication Protocols: Implement and maintain industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP for seamless data exchange. SCADA, MES, & ERP Connectivity: Configure and ensure efficient communication between SCADA, MES, and ERP systems for better manufacturing intelligence. Predictive Maintenance & Data Analytics: Utilize IoT-enabled sensors to implement predictive maintenance and analyze manufacturing data for process improvements. Automation Process Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize PLC-based automation processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Data Security & Reliability: Ensure data security and reliability in IoT networks and industrial control systems. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, production, and maintenance teams to enhance automation strategies and improve factory operations. Technology Advancement: Stay updated with the latest trends in Industry 4.0, IoT, smart manufacturing, and industrial automation to bring innovative solutions to the company. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Mechenical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering , or a related field. 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, and IoT solutions in a manufacturing environment. Expertise in programming and troubleshooting Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Schneider PLCs . Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, etc.). Experience in integrating SCADA, MES, and ERP systems . Hands-on experience in IoT-based automation , predictive maintenance, and data analytics in a manufacturing setup. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across IT, production, and engineering teams.
