Product Engineer

About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Design and develop new products and prototypes. 2. Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings. 3. Coordinate product development from concept to manufacturing. 4. Conduct product testing, validation, and performance analysis. 5. Prepare technical documentation, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing specifications. 6. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development process. 7. Identify opportunities to improve product design for cost, quality, and manufacturability. 8. Support production during product launches and assist with troubleshooting. 9. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. 10. Participate in continuous improvement and product innovation initiatives. Strong knowledge of product design and development processes. 2. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo. 3. Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering materials. 4. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. 5. Experience with prototyping and product testing is preferred. 6. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. 7. Familiarity with creating bills of materials (BOMs) and maintaining product documentation. 8. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 9. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 10. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
