Senior Data Analyst, Marketing

As a Senior Data Analyst at Metropolis, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the vision and development of next-generation analytic data tools for both internal and external customers. You will collaborate closely with business partners to understand their data needs, gather requirements, and identify reporting solutions. Your excellent communication skills will be essential as you work with stakeholders across various departments to deliver insights rather than just reports. Your technical expertise will allow you to interface with engineering teams to ensure product compatibility with Data Analytics best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary data partner for key business teams, helping them define analytics roadmaps and prioritize projects for business value - Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Tableau to provide actionable insights - Craft complex SQL queries and conduct ad hoc analysis to address critical business questions - Translate complex data findings into compelling stories for technical and non-technical audiences - Contribute to the evolution of the data warehouse by collaborating with Data Engineering teams - Build and maintain the Data Catalog or Data Dictionary for data discovery and governance - Establish best practices for data quality, privacy, and access control - Identify opportunities to enhance analytics platform performance and report usage - Collaborate with engineering teams to define service level agreements (SLAs) for data products - Mentor and guide junior members of the data team Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent - 6+ years of experience in an Analytics or Business Intelligence role - 4+ years of experience in complex data analysis with mastery in SQL - 4+ years of experience developing visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools - 2+ years of experience using dbt and Snowflake - Expertise in relational and dimensional database structures and best practices - Proven ability to collaborate with Data Engineering teams to architect a data platform - Experience working in Agile SCRUM teams - Strong project management and independent work skills - Excitement for working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment As a Senior Data Analyst at Metropolis, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the vision and development of next-generation analytic data tools for both internal and external customers.
