About the role
Key Responsibilities Design and develop 3D models of sheet metal cabinets, electrical enclosures, server racks, and custom-built solutions using SolidWorks. Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings , including fabrication, assembly, and GA drawings along with accurate BOMs. Apply sheet metal design principles such as bend allowances, K-factor, tolerances, and material selection. Translate client requirements and technical specifications into practical, production-ready designs. Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) by optimizing designs for CNC machining, laser cutting, bending, and welding processes. Incorporate industry standards such as IP ratings, thermal management, load considerations, and safety compliance. Collaborate closely with production, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth execution. Support prototype development , testing, and implement design improvements based on feedback. Maintain design documentation, version control, and revision records . Continuously suggest design enhancements to improve product quality, cost efficiency, and ease of assembly.
