About the role
As a Full Stack Web Designer & Developer at MEWOKI, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our e-commerce storefront, from front-end aesthetics to back-end functionality. Your role will involve utilizing your expertise in various technologies and design principles to create an optimized and user-friendly web platform. Key Responsibilities: - Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+). - Experience with frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular for frontend development, and Node.js, Python, or PHP for backend development. - Working knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) for database management. - Mandatory experience with Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control. - Proven ability to optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability. - Mastery of design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch. - Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, including user-centered design and interactive prototyping. - Portfolio evidence of mobile-first design strategies and strong foundation in visual hierarchy and accessibility standards. - Familiarity with responsive design and basic web literacy. Qualifications Required: - A live portfolio or project repository showcasing your work. - Ability to troubleshoot complex browser-compatibility or design issues. - Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Trello. In terms of education and experience, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or Graphic Design is preferred but not mandatory. Certifications in Full-Stack Development or UI/UX Design are advantageous. We welcome applicants with 1+ years of professional experience, but freshers demonstrating a strong portfolio and required skills are highly encouraged to apply.
