About the role
Role & responsibilities About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in cloud architecture, automation, containerization, security, and DevOps practices while supporting a global environment operating in rotational shifts. This position is on Michael Page payroll and will be deployed to our client for a long-term strategic engagement. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures. Architect and manage solutions across AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments. Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Build and manage containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, ECS, etc.). Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation frameworks. Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, governance, and identity management standards. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Design and support hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud architectures. Perform cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance tuning. Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting. Work closely with global teams and provide support in a rotational shift environment. Required Skills & Experience Cloud Platforms Strong hands-on experience with: Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Exposure to GCP is an added advantage Infrastructure & Automation Hands-on expertise in: Terraform CloudFormation Ansible Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation experience Containers & Orchestration Strong experience with: Docker Kubernetes AKS / EKS / ECS Cloud Security & Networking Advanced understanding of: Cloud networking VPC/VNet architecture IAM, RBAC, Identity Management Security controls and governance Disaster Recovery and High Availability designs DevOps & CI/CD Experience with: Jenkins Azure DevOps GitHub Actions GitLab CI/CD Knowledge of DevOps best practices Monitoring & Optimization Cloud monitoring and observability tools Performance tuning Cloud cost optimization strategies Scripting & Automation Strong proficiency in: Python Bash PowerShell Architecture Experience Enterprise cloud transformation projects Hybrid and multi-cloud deployments Cloud-to-edge integration solutions Required Qualifications 9-11 years of IT Infrastructure/Cloud experience. Minimum 3+ years in a Cloud Architect or Senior Cloud Engineering role. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant cloud certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Kubernetes Certifications (CKA/CKAD) are a plus Mandatory Conditions Candidate must be comfortable working in a 4-shift rotational model . Candidate must be willing to work 5 days from office . Candidate must be open to long-term deployment (minimum 3 years) on Michael Page payroll at our client location. Ideal Candidate Profile Strong Cloud Architecture background in Azure and/or AWS. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience supporting global enterprise environments. Ability to lead architecture discussions and drive cloud modernization initiatives. Hands-on approach with strong troubleshooting and automation capabilities. Notice Period Preference: Immediate to 30 days Preferred candidate profile Strong Cloud Architecture background in Azure and/or AWS. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience supporting global enterprise environments. Ability to lead architecture discussions and drive cloud modernization initiatives. Hands-on approach with strong troubleshooting and automation capabilities.
