About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 8-12 years of experience in relevant technologies and practices. The selected candidate will contribute to the Microchip Corporate DevOps team and will be responsible for driving automation, infrastructure management, CI/CD implementation, and operational excellence across development environments. Responsibilities Designing and maintaining continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines to automate code testing and deployment Tracking software performance, fixing errors, troubleshooting systems, implementing preventive measures for smooth workflows, and building automated processes Optimizing cloud resources and implementing cost-effective solutions Implementing and managing infrastructure using code rather than manual processes. Uses Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) management Collaborating between teams helps in resolving issues quickly and deploying new features smoothly Monitoring and creating new processes based on performance analysis Better management of the software development process and implementation of configuration management tools Automating repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency Implementing security best practices, including automated compliance checks and secure code deployment Deploying AI tools into the Kubernetes clusters. Requirements/Qualifications Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools Good experience in infrastructure as code tools Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools Proficiency in Docker for packaging applications and Kubernetes for managing containers Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills to ensure proper teamwork Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, etc. Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience Good to Have Skills Experienced in managing DevOps tools, including JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and SonarQube. AI Infrastructure: Experience setting up AI tools, services, and hosting LLM models for inference. API Gateways: Proven track record configuring AI Model Gateways and MCP (Model Context Protocol) Gateways. Security Access: Hands-on experience implementing enterprise authentication, including OAuth, SSO, and Microsoft Entra ID. Travel Time No Travel
