About the role
Role Overview: As a Data Science Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization. This team is responsible for defining, driving, and delivering end-to-end smart manufacturing solutions that are integrated across the various functions of the business. Your role will involve applying industry-leading methodologies in automation, AI, and machine learning to enhance Micron's product development, business processes, and administrative processes. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with an international team of data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and I4 analysts to develop new data science solutions that improve operational efficiency and expand manufacturing capabilities. - Utilize your expertise in data-mining, data engineering, and visualization to identify valuable patterns in the datasets. - Work on projects with high impact in areas such as Fabrication plant, Assembly and Test, and Procurement. - Partner with the IT team on data management, including accessing and preparing necessary data, developing applications with user-friendly interfaces, integrating with existing systems, and showcasing successful use cases. - Design and enhance data acquisition and ETL pipelines from various sources into the big data ecosystem. - Create responsive web interfaces for result visualization and user interaction. - Develop intuitive user interfaces for interactive data visualization to communicate insights from the data effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science, Computer Science, EE/EC Engineering, or any other engineering discipline with extensive programming experience. - Proficiency in Python programming is essential. - Experience with Google Cloud Platform is desirable. - Familiarity with Angular/CSS and other Web Technologies is preferred. - Knowledge of basic statistics and data analytics is a must. - Strong interpersonal skills in written, verbal, and presentation communication. - Willingness to travel and thrive in a diverse working environment.
