About the role
As an Automation Manager at Micron Technology, your role will involve managing and coordinating the development and deployment of various automation systems to enhance plant logistics and production efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement world-class automation solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Hands-on experience in managing and supporting automatic material handling systems, ASRS, Robots, COBOTS, and manufacturing automations. - Development and deployment of AGV/AMR systems to streamline plant logistics. - Effective utilization of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce quality products at minimum costs. - Collaboration with cross-functional teams for implementing automation solutions. - Compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. - Leadership and mentorship to the automation team. - Developing systems for maintaining reports and record-keeping. - Planning, implementing, and troubleshooting equipment for efficient performance. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. - 10-15 years of experience in Engineering Projects, Plant automation, Maintenance, preferably in the electronics component or automotive industry. - Experience in deploying and maintaining AGV/AMR systems. - Strong people management abilities. - Excellent problem-solving skills for successful automation implementation. - Strong communication and cooperation skills. - Proactive approach to project management.
