As a Solution Architect at Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery, your role is crucial in translating the clients business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs for very large complex technology solutions and architectures. You'll act as an advocate for the client and provide direction for design activities, often working on project-based assignments, sometimes at customer sites. Your responsibilities include gathering customer/partner insights, defining and documenting the architecture, and collaborating with the Project Manager to drive project/technical governance of the design, build, and deployment. Responsibilities: - Gather customer/partner insights from a broad range of stakeholders and main business sponsor to shape and execute projects. - Represent the customer/partner as a customer advocate and share insights with Product Engineering teams to improve Microsoft technologies, products, services, and offerings. - Define and document the Architecture through various documents to communicate the value proposition of the business solution. - Work with customers to demonstrate business value that the business solution realizes and manage ambiguity in requirements and constraints. - Generate new intellectual property, identify ideas for improvement, and drive re-use of intellectual property. - Lead virtual teams around technologies and customer/partner challenges by sharing insights and strategic input.
