Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, HCI, UX, Interaction Design, or related field OR equivalent experience (e.g., working in product/service design or using design thinking to solve problems) Proficient in Figma Preferred Bachelor's + 2 years, OR Master's + 1 year in product/service design OR equivalent experience 1+ years experience shipping products/services/games through an end-to-end design process #MSFTSECURITYUX Security Screening Requirements This role requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Responsibilities Define design needs for a set of products/experiences using user insights and business goals. Identify both spoken and unspoken needs, synthesize user insights with data, and collaborate with PM and Engineering to drive end-to-end experiences. Leverage ideation methodologies, considering business, user, and tech perspectives. Facilitate design sprints and convert ideas into actionable solutions. Prototype features efficiently, present concepts to teams/customers for feedback, and iterate based on user needs. Collaborate across disciplines to ensure design solutions align with business, technical, and user requirements. Work closely with developers to maintain alignment between specs and implementation, understanding and challenging technical constraints where necessary. Use and contribute to the design system (templates, icons, UI controls, navigation, trends), and support knowledge-sharing among peers. Communicate proactively within the team and across stakeholders, setting context and ensuring alignment throughout the product lifecycle. Recognize user needs, contribute design ideas, and craft compelling narratives to support product direction. Partner within the triad/quad (Design, PM, Dev) to define and iterate on new/existing features. Support multiple studies and deliver design outcomes in collaboration with the team, while contributing to the success of others.
