About the role
As a Process Engineer specializing in Water & Wastewater Treatment, your role involves designing, engineering, and optimizing water and wastewater treatment systems. You will be responsible for developing treatment solutions, preparing process documentation, evaluating new technologies, and supporting project execution from concept design through commissioning. It is essential that all systems you work on comply with project specifications, environmental regulations, and industry best practices. Your technical expertise and process knowledge should include: - Strong experience in designing, engineering, and performing process calculations for water and wastewater treatment systems. - In-depth knowledge of various water and wastewater treatment technologies such as MBR, MBBR, UF, RO, SBR, ASP, ceramic membrane filtration systems, EC, DAF units, and chemical dosing systems. - Capability to conduct process design calculations, hydraulic calculations, mass balance, and system sizing for treatment plants. - Proficiency in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, process design reports, and technical specifications. - Ability to evaluate raw water and wastewater characteristics and select appropriate treatment technologies. - Experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and performance improvement of treatment plants. - Familiarity with industry practices, environmental regulations, and authority standards related to water and wastewater treatment. - Knowledge of engineering tools like BioWin, Bentley, Wave, IMS, etc. For the preferred candidate profile, you should have: - Minimum 8+ years of experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry focusing on process design, engineering, and technology evaluation. - Proven experience in handling Greenfield, Brownfield, and Greyfield projects, including plant construction, expansion, and upgradation/retrofit works. - Experience in designing and supporting treatment plants with capacities of up to 20 MLD. - Hands-on experience in process engineering, plant performance evaluation, and optimization for water/wastewater treatment facilities. - Exposure to integrating advanced treatment technologies in treatment plants. - A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Process Engineering. A Master's Degree is an added advantage.
