Software Engineer - Middleware

As a middleware software engineer at Miko, your role involves designing, developing, and optimizing the middleware stack for current and upcoming companion robot products. You will work on enhancing current functionalities, adding new features, and leading the technical delivery of assigned tasks/projects. Collaboration with the Backend, AI, Product, and QA teams is crucial for efficient development cycles and testing. Operating in an Agile/Scrum environment, you will deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules. Your responsibilities also include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis of critical issues, demonstrating technical leadership, and resolving ambiguous problems effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop software to enhance functionalities and introduce new features - Lead technical delivery of assigned tasks/projects - Collaborate with Backend, AI, Product, and QA teams for efficient development and testing - Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software within tight schedules - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis of critical issues - Demonstrate technical leadership and delegate tasks to junior engineers - Develop multi-threaded applications and implement various communication protocols - Utilize Git for version control, and possess strong coding and debugging skills Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of industry experience in Software domain - Skills in C/C++, Java, environment management, release management, code versioning, and deployment methodologies - Experience with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and Embedded Linux OS - Proficiency in multi-threaded applications development and IPC including socket programming - Hands-on experience in STL, BOOST, data structures, algorithms, and using Git - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills At Miko, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team working on cutting-edge robotics and AI technology.
