Software Engineer - Java Developer

Software Engineer - Java Developer Millennium is a top-tier global hedge fund with a strong commitment to leveraging innovation in technology and data science to solve complex business problems. We are building a strong technology team to develop the next generation of Front Office tools focused on PnL and Risk. This team will be responsible for developing and maintaining in-house PnL and attribution systems across Fixed Income, Commodities, Credit, Equities, and FX businesses. Responsibilities Work closely with quants, portfolio managers, risk managers, and technology teams across New York, London, Tel Aviv, and Miami. Develop Front Office tools for the Fixed Income business. Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of next-generation PnL and risk systems. Mandatory Requirements Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with interest and/or exposure to quantitative finance Prior experience working in Front Office Engineering or Quant teams At least a BSc in Computer Science or a related field such as Financial Engineering Substantial experience with modern C++ or Java Experience using Git / GitHub Experience with multithreading, client-server architecture, and distributed computing Experience working in a Linux environment Good understanding of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures Experience with SQL database development Detail-oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate strong ownership and thoroughness in work Experience working in a production environment Preferred Requirements Experience with financial mathematics and statistics Strong Java experience Exposure to AI tools and agents Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS preferred) Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Experience with caching technologies such as Redis Experience with messaging systems/libraries such as Kafka or Solace
