About the role
Role Overview: Milliman is a global firm offering actuarial and related services across various sectors such as healthcare, insurance, and financial services. The team is seeking a techno-functional intern to join the healthcare analytics team in Gurgaon, India for a six-month full-time internship. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in data analytics focused on US payer, provider, and pharmacy data. Key Responsibilities: - Perform data checks to ensure accuracy and reasonability. - Manage data by collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets to uncover patterns and insights. - Write and execute SQL queries to analyze data based on different parameters. - Summarize data findings and analysis results in reports using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Work independently on assigned tasks, including planning, organizing, problems solving, and meeting deadlines. Qualifications Required: - Degree in Pharma, Healthcare, or Insurance. - Proficiency in SQL and Python. - Strong understanding of statistics and data analysis. - Excellent MS Office skills. - Effective verbal and written communication abilities. - Familiarity with the US health insurance market. - Desirable to have knowledge of US-based health insurance plan benefits. Note: This position may involve performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors to meet project goals. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
