About the role
As an Hardware Networking Specialist at Mindenious, you will play a crucial role in installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, peripherals, and local network infrastructure across the organization. Your responsibilities will include monitoring network performance, managing user connectivity, and implementing basic network security practices like access controls and patch updates. Additionally, you will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, provide technical support to internal users, and ensure a secure technology environment in collaboration with the IT team. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers and peripherals - Monitor network performance and manage user connectivity - Implement basic network security practices such as access controls and patch updates - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues - Provide timely technical support to internal users - Document configurations and maintain asset inventories - Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure a secure and reliable technology environment Qualifications: - Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues - Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers and related peripherals - Knowledge of network administration, including LAN/WAN configuration, IP addressing, and basic routing and switching - Experience in providing technical support to end users with clear communication - Understanding of network security principles like firewalls, antivirus tools, user access control, and patch management - Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS) and common productivity software - Ability to document processes, maintain inventories, and follow IT policies and procedures - Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills - Relevant certification(s) such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent practical experience are advantageous - Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field preferred As an Hardware Networking Specialist at Mindenious, you will play a crucial role in installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, peripherals, and local network infrastructure across the organization.
