About the role
Job Title : Database Administration
Experience : 5 to 9 Years
Location : Mumbai
Roles & Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise database platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
Automate database operations, deployments, and routine maintenance tasks.
Perform database installation, configuration, version upgrades, and security patching.
Manage database replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
Provide production support and troubleshoot database-related issues across multiple environments.
Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and optimize database solutions.
Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and best practices.
Support infrastructure automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Participate in scheduled maintenance, weekend support, and critical production activities.
Requisites
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong expertise in MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or Enterprise Database Administration .
Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, replication, backup, recovery, and security patching.
Knowledge of automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform .
Experience with monitoring and log management tools like Grafana, Loki, and Splunk .
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting production database environments and high-availability systems.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn new database technologies and automation practices.
