About the role
Experience: 5 Years About the Role: - We are seeking a skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with hands-on experience in API Automation using Karate and mobile/web automation with Appium. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using Karate. - Develop end-to-end test scripts for APIs, mobile, and web platforms using Appium and related tools. - Execute and optimize automated test suites to support CI/CD pipelines. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage and defect resolution. - Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate backend processes and data integrity. - Perform manual validation when required to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Track and manage issues via Git, JIRA, or similar tools. - Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, reports, and metrics dashboards. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in API Automation, with at least 3 years using Karate. - Experience in Appium, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks for functional automation. - Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for scripting and automation logic. - Expertise in SQL and database validation. - Experience with Git, Jenkins, or equivalent version control and CI/CD tools. - Ability to manage both automation and manual testing responsibilities. - Valuable understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML structures, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Experience in Banking / Payments domain projects. - Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, or SOAP UI. - Exposure to cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and containerized test execution.
