Desktop Support with Linux

Description We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support professional with expertise in Linux to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to our users, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems and applications. Responsibilities Provide technical support for desktop systems and applications running on Linux. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Linux-based systems. Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software. Assist users with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues via remote support, email, or in-person. Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets. Document technical procedures and user guides for end-users. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and services. Skills and Qualifications 2-6 years of experience in desktop support or a related field. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat). Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Experience with common desktop applications and productivity software. Familiarity with network protocols and configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Ability to provide excellent customer service and support to end-users. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
