SAP HCM Testing Consultant(payroll,Time,Abap hr)

Role Overview This role owns end-to-end testing for SAP HCM Time Management and Payroll, with a strong focus on complex PCRs, schema changes, and ABAP HR custom objects. You will plan, design, and execute functional, regression, and automation tests for time evaluation, quota processing, and payroll including retroactivity. The consultant partners closely with functional and ABAP teams to triage defects, validate fixes, and maintain high-quality releases. The role also covers SIT/UAT support, test data management across payroll areas/personnel subgroups, and maintaining test documentation and traceability. Success requires deep SAP HCM testing expertise, automation experience (e.g., TOSCA), and clear communication with business and technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications 610 years of SAP HCM testing experience focused on Time Management and Payroll Hands-on testing of complex Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), schema modifications, and time/payroll rule changes Experience testing custom ABAP HR reports/objects within SAP HCM Strong knowledge of time evaluation (RPTIME00), quota processing (RPTQTA00), payroll calculation and retroactive payroll testing Experience designing and executing regression testing strategies for SAP HCM Automation testing experience with SAP tools (e.g., TOSCA or equivalent) including building and maintaining scripts Defect lifecycle management (log, triage, validation, retest) with cross-functional teams Test data preparation/management for multi-payroll areas, personnel subgroups, and collective agreement scenarios Experience executing SIT and supporting UAT, including coordination and sign-off Familiarity with SAP HCM testing terminology (Positive Functional Test, Retroactive Accounting Check, Personnel Subgroup Variant) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Responsibilities Define test plans and strategies for SAP HCM Time and Payroll, including PCRs, schemas, and ABAP HR custom objects Design and execute functional tests for time evaluation (RPTIME00), quota processing (RPTQTA00), payroll schema/PCR changes, and retroactive payroll Own and maintain regression test coverage to safeguard existing rules, reports, and integrations Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts (TOSCA or similar) for time/payroll transactions to accelerate regression cycles Log, triage, track, and validate defects through resolution working with functional and ABAP teams Prepare and manage complex test data sets across payroll areas, personnel subgroups, and retro/time scenarios Execute SIT and support UAT cycles, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive sign-off Maintain test scripts, results, and traceability matrices mapped to functional/technical requirements Role Overview This role owns end-to-end testing for SAP HCM Time Management and Payroll, with a strong focus on complex PCRs, schema changes, and ABAP HR custom objects.
