MySQL Database Engineer

As a MySQL DBA at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances. Your responsibilities will include designing databases, orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning database instances. You will collaborate with other teams, prepare documentations, and optimize database performance. Key Responsibilities: - Design databases and data architecture - Provision MySQL instances in clustered and non-clustered configurations - Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases - Prepare documentations and specifications - Manage database procedures like upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. - Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary Qualifications Required: - Expertise in database design and data architecture for large scale systems - Proficiency in MySQL database management - Experience with recent versions of MySQL - Understanding of MySQL's storage engines like InnoDB and MyISAM - Knowledge of replication configuration in MySQL - Familiarity with MySQL best practices and standards - Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements - Understanding of MySQL features including event scheduler - Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications - Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB - Knowledge of MySQL limitations and workarounds in comparison to other relational databases As a MySQL DBA at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances.
