Job Title:Prompt Engineer Mortgage Servicing Subject Matter Expert (SME) Location: Bangalore/Chennai Experience:512 Years Employment Type:Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Prompt Engineer with Mortgage Servicing domain expertise to design, optimize, and govern AI-powered solutions supporting mortgage servicing operations. The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of mortgage servicing processes with expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and business process automation. The role will focus on developing effective prompts, AI workflows, copilots, and knowledge solutions that enhance customer service, loan servicing operations, compliance, document processing, and operational efficiency across the mortgage servicing lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Prompt Engineering & AI Solution Development Design, develop, test, and optimize prompts for AI and Generative AI applications. Create prompt libraries, reusable templates, and structured AI workflows. Fine-tune prompts to improve response accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) use cases leveraging mortgage servicing knowledge. Build and support AI copilots, virtual assistants, and knowledge management solutions. Evaluate AI outputs and continuously improve performance through prompt refinement. Mortgage Servicing Domain Expertise Provide subject matter expertise across the mortgage servicing lifecycle, including: Loan Boarding Payment Processing Escrow Administration Customer Service Default Management Loss Mitigation Foreclosure Bankruptcy Insurance Tracking Investor Reporting Compliance Monitoring Interpret servicing business requirements and translate them into AI-enabled solutions. Validate AI-generated content against servicing policies and regulatory requirements. Support operational teams in identifying AI use cases and automation opportunities. AI Governance & Compliance Ensure AI solutions comply with mortgage servicing regulations and organizational policies. Review prompts and outputs for accuracy, bias, risk, and regulatory adherence. Establish prompt governance frameworks and quality-control processes. Maintain audit-ready documentation for AI use cases and decision-making processes. Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Security teams. Knowledge Management Create and maintain mortgage servicing knowledge repositories. Develop structured prompts using servicing procedures, policies, job aids, and business rules. Support integration of servicing documentation into AI knowledge bases. Improve information retrieval and search capabilities for servicing teams. Data Analysis & Process Optimization Analyze servicing workflows and identify automation opportunities. Leverage AI technologies to reduce manual effort and improve productivity. Measure prompt effectiveness using established metrics and KPIs. Recommend process improvements based on AI performance insights. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with Servicing Operations, Compliance, Technology, Risk, and Business teams. Facilitate workshops to gather use cases and business requirements. Provide guidance on AI adoption strategies within mortgage servicing functions. Train end users on prompt techniques and AI best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Mortgage Servicing operations. 2+ years of experience working with Generative AI, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI solutions. Strong understanding of mortgage servicing regulations and industry practices. Proven experience creating business requirements, workflows, and process documentation. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
