Role & Job Title: L2 Network Engineer Location Chennai, WFO Shift Timings US Shift: Monday to Friday,11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST OR 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST - Open to rotational shifts Experience 8+ Years of Experience in Enterprise Network Operations and Support Job Summary We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled L2 Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Security, Wireless, and Cloud environments. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation support, incident management, and assisting in branch deployments while ensuring adherence to ITIL and Change Management processes. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in Cisco networking technologies, firewall administration, Azure networking fundamentals, SD-WAN operations, and network monitoring tools. Key Responsibilities Network Operations & Support Monitor and support enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Security infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents within SLA timelines. Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and routine maintenance activities. Support Cisco Catalyst 9300 switch stack deployments and troubleshooting. Assist in Layer 2 and Layer 3 network troubleshooting. SD-WAN & Security Support Support Silver Peak (Aruba EdgeConnect) SD-WAN environments. Perform day-to-day administration and troubleshooting of Cisco FTD Firewalls. Manage firewall rule changes, NAT, VPN configurations, and security policies. Escalate complex security-related issues to L3 teams when required. Azure Networking Support Support Azure networking environments and connectivity troubleshooting. Assist with: Virtual Networks (VNet) NSGs Route Tables VPN Connectivity Azure Landing Zone implementations Monitor and support NVA deployments in Azure. Branch Site Deployment Support Support provisioning and rollout of new branch offices. Assist with MDF and IDF deployments. Participate in site readiness assessments and implementation activities. Validate hardware, connectivity, and configuration requirements. Assist in Bill of Materials (BOM) verification and deployment activities. Monitoring & Incident Management Utilize network monitoring tools for proactive alert management. Investigate and resolve WAN, LAN, firewall, and wireless performance issues. Perform health checks and generate operational reports. Coordinate with ISP vendors and third-party support teams. Wireless & Collaboration Support Support Cisco Wireless and Meraki environments. Troubleshoot wireless connectivity and performance issues. Provide basic support for Cisco VoIP and Avaya VoIP environments. Change & Service Management Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Prepare implementation plans and change records. Maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures. Participate in planned maintenance and after-hours implementation activities when required. Experience supporting enterprise network environments. Ability to handle incidents independently and escalate appropriately. Good understanding of networking and security best practices. Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Experience working in a 24x7 or global support environment. Willingness to work in US business hours.
