Role Overview: You will be joining MongoDB's Application Modernization Platform (AMP) team, whose objective is to increase the adoption of MongoDB by facilitating the transformation of legacy applications from RDBMS to MongoDB. The AMP team utilizes a blend of proprietary GenAI and deterministic tools along with modernization methodologies derived from extensive customer interactions to upgrade legacy applications to MongoDB. Your role will involve modernizing the application tier by breaking down legacy applications into services and constructing modern services on MongoDB. The modernization methodologies encompass employing specialized tools to automate various modernization tasks such as analyzing legacy code bases, transforming legacy code (PL/SQL, T-SQL, Java, C#) into modern application frameworks on MongoDB, generating automated tests, and conducting side-by-side testing (legacy vs. modern). Key Responsibilities: - Provide support in sales and delivery of modernization engagements as a Principal Solutions Architect. - Collaborate with sales teams to devise strategies and recommendations for driving a multi-threaded account strategy, aligning MongoDB and ecosystem resources towards a mutually beneficial account plan. - Design scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-premises. - Conduct complex demonstrations involving multiple applications deployed on Docker and Github Codespaces. - Travel up to 25% for business requirements. Qualifications Required: - Ideally 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, with 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software. - Minimum of 3 years of experience with modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#). - Experience with modern software development processes and application architectures such as agile development, domain-driven design, microservice architectures, test-driven development, event-driven architectures, operational data layers, and test automation. - Proficiency in designing with scalable and highly available distributed systems. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. - Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with major cloud providers. - Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects. - MongoDB Certification and Cloud Provider Certification.
