About the role
About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Digital Mock-Up (DMU) & Packaging: Assist in space-claim management, interference checks, and clearance analysis using 3D CAD tools. Focus heavily on the packaging of EV components (battery packs, electric motors, thermal management systems, and high-voltage wiring harnesses) alongside traditional mechanical aggregates. 2. 3DEXPERIENCE PLM & BOM Management: Actively maintain, release, and update the Engineering Bill of Materials (eBOM) directly within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. 3. Track engineering changes (ECO/ECN), manage data maturity states, and ensure high data integrity across vehicle configuration variants. 4. Cross-Functional Team (CFT) Coordination: Act as a central point of contact to coordinate with CFTs (Battery Team, Powertrain, Software, Hydraulics, Sourcing, and Testing). Facilitate the tracking, documentation, and resolution of packaging, assembly, or design bottlenecks. 5. Physical Prototyping & Build Support: Collaborate with the shop floor team during physical prototype assembly to identify routing issues (hoses and high-voltage cables), assembly sequence friction, and serviceability concerns. Who can apply: Only those candidates can apply who: are available for full time (in-office) internship can start the internship between 10th Jul'26 and 14th Aug'26 are available for duration of 6 months have relevant skills and interests * Women wanting to start/restart their career can also apply. are Mechanical Engineering students Stipend: INR₹ 20,000 - 25,000 /month Deadline: 2026-08-12 23:59:59 Other perks: Certificate, Letter of recommendation, Informal dress code, 5 days a week Skills required: SolidWorks, GD&T, CAD and Electric Vehicle Technology Other Requirements: 1. Required Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering (with strong mechanical aptitude), or Agricultural Engineering. 2. Experience: 0 to 1 year. Prior internship or academic project work involving EV prototypes, tractors, construction equipment, or formula/ATV student competitions. 3.CAD & PLM Tools: Proficient in SolidWorks or Siemens NX for 3D modeling, assembly design, and drafting. 4. Hands-on exposure or foundational training in the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform (collaborative space, product structure management, or change management) is a major advantage. 5. Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of electric vehicle architecture (cells, battery packs, motors, controllers, and thermal cooling systems). 6. Familiarity with tractor/off-road basics (chassis design, structural casting, heavy-duty axles, or hydraulic lifting systems). 7. Core Technical Concepts: Strong grasp of engineering mechanics, tolerance stack-up analysis, and basic GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). 8. Detail-Oriented: Highly organized, especially when handling structured engineering data like complex multi-level BOMs and PLM workflows. 9. Candidates from SAE, BAJA & similar curricular activities are preferred.
