About the role
Role: Senior DevOps Engineer Location: Morningstar (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Team: Technology – Software Engineering, Cloud & Infrastructure Our Team: Technology is the engine of our business. We work cross-functionally to ship products that serve our global customer base, using a blend of software, cloud, data center infrastructure, and user-centered design. The Role: We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in automation, cloud infrastructure, and software deployment. You'll work closely with engineering and IT teams to optimize system reliability and visibility across the SDLC. You'll also mentor team members, lead key initiatives, and bring real impact to our business by scaling infrastructure solutions and improving customer outcomes. Responsibilities: Own the performance, availability, and reliability of infrastructure and systems. Lead development and implementation of system enhancements. Mentor team members and serve as a lead contributor in DevOps best practices. Architect and scale cloud-native CI/CD workflows and infrastructure. Automate provisioning and deployment using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. Work on containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless stacks. Debug and troubleshoot production and deployment issues. Write and maintain scripts/programs for automating recurring tasks. Participate in Agile software development and release cycles. Collaborate across teams to optimize system performance and deployment efficiency. Write and manage SQL/PLSQL scripts as part of database deployment and integration. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 7+ years of DevOps or software engineering experience. Strong scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash). Expertise in CI/CD tools – Jenkins, CodeDeploy, Git, etc. Experience with cloud infrastructure and automation (AWS preferred, Terraform, CloudFormation). Proficient with Docker and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes). Hands-on experience with serverless and microservices architectures. Understanding of infrastructure as code and scalable deployment pipelines. Proficient in debugging/troubleshooting, log analysis, and performance monitoring. Experience with SQL and database deployment processes. Effective communicator, team player, and self-starter.
