About the role
In this role as a Senior Product Designer at PitchBook, you will have the opportunity to design and deliver impactful experiences for the data operations team, contributing to the market success of PitchBook. Your responsibilities will include: - Utilizing user-centered design and systems thinking skills to create solutions for complex data and user workflow challenges, ensuring a highly usable and scalable product experience - Conducting user research and data analysis to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivators that enhance user and business value - Collaborating with product management and engineering team members to develop product strategies, detailed requirements, and designs that enhance user experience and efficiency - Identifying high-impact user and business problems and defining product experience strategies and solutions - Developing journey maps, task and user flows, and design concepts to inform product strategies and priorities - Translating abstract concepts into simple, elegant, and innovative designs through sketches, diagrams, prototypes, and final design executions - Leveraging design systems and interaction patterns to consolidate multiple tools into a unified, adaptable, and scalable platform for diverse user groups - Monitoring and evaluating the performance of design solutions and identifying strategies for enhancement - Driving continuous improvement within your work and product teams by seeking new methods and practices for greater impact - Contributing to evolving design practices, tools, methods, and the design maturity of the organization - Supporting the company's vision and values through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors - Participating in various company initiatives and projects as requested Your role will involve independently owning and delivering the user experience in your product domain, collaborating with other designers and product team members, and contributing to the direction and planning of your product domain. You will be expected to identify and prioritize opportunities to support users and the business while maintaining a strong sense of product ownership and commitment to success.
