About the role
Role Overview: You will be joining as an experienced Associate Structural Engineer at Mott MacDonald to support and lead key design activities for global Oil & Gas and Transmission & Distribution (T&D) structural engineering projects. Your main responsibilities will involve delivering FEED, concept, and detailed engineering designs, coordinating with international teams, and ensuring high-quality outputs aligning with Mott MacDonald's standards. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver FEED, concept, and detailed engineering designs for Oil & Gas and/or T&D structural projects. - Prepare and review engineering calculations for steel and RCC structures. - Develop appropriate structural framing systems for gravity and lateral loads. - Undertake dynamic analysis and contribute to the development of suitable structural systems. - Review design deliverables including reports, calculations, 3D models, GA drawings, and specifications. - Ensure designs comply with relevant codes such as American codes, Eurocodes, and project-specific standards. - Lead assigned design packages, coordinate with global design teams, and work closely with project managers on planning and risk identification. - Support workshare arrangements, assist in developing design estimates, and manage design risks. - Mentor junior engineers, participate in cross-disciplinary meetings, and contribute to integrated project delivery. - Promote safe design principles, ensure environmental considerations are integrated into design work, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualification Required: - B.E./ B.Tech / M.Tech/M.E in Civil or Structural Engineering. - 14+ years of structural design experience in Oil & Gas/ Power Generation and/or T&D sectors.
