Data Engineer - SQL Server

Job Description: Job Role: SQL Server Developer Client Location: Hyderabad Shift : 2PM- 11PM IST Joining: Earlier the best Employment: Full-time We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer / SQL Server Developer with 5- 8 years of experience in database development, data migration, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server, including SSIS and SSRS, along with mandatory experience in Cosmos DB (NoSQL). The role requires a strong understanding of data migration, stored procedure optimization, database performance tuning, and enterprise data solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and other database objects. - Develop, enhance, and support SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading across multiple source and target systems. - Create, maintain, and optimize SSRS reports to support business reporting and operational needs. - Perform data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation between legacy and target systems. - Optimize stored procedures, queries, and database objects to improve performance, scalability, and reliability. - Analyze and tune database tables, indexes, and query execution plans to ensure efficient performance. - Work with Cosmos DB for NoSQL data storage, design, querying, and integration with enterprise applications. - Support the design and implementation of hybrid data solutions involving both relational and NoSQL databases. - Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including job failures, slow-running queries, and performance bottlenecks. - Collaborate with application teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and provide scalable data solutions. - Ensure database solutions follow enterprise standards for security, compliance, performance, and maintainability. - Prepare technical documentation for database design, migration processes, reporting solutions, and optimization activities. - Participate in deployment, release support, and production issue resolution as required. Required Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 5 to 8 years of experience in database development, data engineering, or data migration projects. - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server. - Proven experience in SSIS for ETL development and SSRS for reporting. - Mandatory experience with Cosmos DB (NoSQL). - Strong experience in data migration projects involving structured and semi-structured data. - Expertise in stored procedure optimization, query tuning, and database performance tuning. - Good understanding of database indexing, partitioning, execution plans, and table optimization techniques. - Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to work with both relational and NoSQL data platforms. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
