Lead Software Engineer (Backend)

Role Overview: You will be responsible for owning the end-to-end delivery for your domain. This includes handling requirements, system design, shipping, and iteration. Approximately 60% of your time will be spent on hands-on coding in Python/Django, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka. Additionally, you will lead architecture reviews and establish engineering standards for a squad of 35 engineers. Your role will also involve hiring, performance management, and career development. You will be accountable for building and maintaining the technical roadmap for your domain, ensuring alignment with product and business objectives. Furthermore, you will own SLO targets, oversee incident response, and enhance CI/CD, observability, and on-call practices.
