Software Engineer

Job Title: System Software EngineerDesignation: Software Engineer Location: Mphasis Taiwan Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled System Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Mphasis Taiwan. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test automation systems and tools for PC products. You will have the opportunity to design enhancements, analyze system architecture, and collaborate within an agile software team to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities:

Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for system software, including applications, services, utilities, and Internet-based platforms. Analyze design requirements and determine coding, programming, and integration activities based on overall product architecture. Write and execute comprehensive testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned application portions; identify, debug, and create solutions for code and integration issues. Participate in an agile software team, collaborating and communicating with team members regarding software application design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

Mandatory Skills:

Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, including React JS and Node.js. In-depth programming skills in Python. Experience with large-scale system development and architecture. Ability to develop various interfaces for interaction between network-connected systems. Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of software systems testing methodologies, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools. Excellent verbal communication skills in English and the local language, with the ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Windows or OS internals and computer architecture. Experience with Cloud Services, specifically IaaS. Strong knowledge of networking concepts. Experience with test automation and tool development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software programming and a passion for developing innovative solutions.
