Job Description: Pitney Bowes Spectrum Administrator & Developer (4–6 Years) Experience 4–6 years of experience in Pitney Bowes Spectrum platform administration and development, with exposure to integration and data processing environments. Location: Bangalore/Chennai ________________________________________ Role Overview We are seeking a Pitney Bowes Spectrum Administrator & Developer responsible for managing and supporting Spectrum platform environments while also contributing to job/service development and integrations. This role is primarily admin-focused (approx. 60–70%) with development responsibilities (30–40%), including building services, workflows, and integrations. ________________________________________ Primary Skills (Core Responsibilities) Pitney Bowes Spectrum Administration • Administer and maintain Pitney Bowes Spectrum platform • Manage server configurations, job execution, repository, and environment setup • Monitor platform performance and ensure high availability and stability • Handle deployments, upgrades, and patching • Troubleshoot platform issues and ensure SLA adherence ________________________________________ Spectrum Development (Jobs & Services) • Develop and maintain Spectrum jobs, services, and workflows • Design and implement real-time and batch processing services • Build integrations using SOAP / REST APIs / Web services • Customize and configure Spectrum modules as per business requirements ________________________________________ Integration & Middleware Skills • Strong experience in: o SOAP / REST / Web Services development o API integrations and service orchestration • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize service performance ________________________________________ Related Mandatory Skills ETL & Data Processing • Good knowledge of ETL development (any tool: Informatica, Talend, etc.) • Understanding of: o Data transformation o Data quality and data enrichment • Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data ________________________________________ System Administration (Windows & Unix) • Hands-on experience in: o Windows Server administration o Unix/Linux environments • Knowledge of system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting ________________________________________ SFTP / SSH Setup • Configure and manage: o SFTP file transfers o SSH connectivity and secure communication • Troubleshoot connectivity and file transfer issues ________________________________________ Security & Vulnerability Management • Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities • Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards • Manage system hardening, patching, and access controls ________________________________________ Related Optional Skills (Good to Have) • IBM HTTP Web Server (IHS) administration • Certificate Management (SSL/TLS setup, renewal, troubleshooting) • Experience with enterprise tools: o ServiceNow (incident/change management) o Change Management processes (ITIL) o Confluence (documentation) o Splunk (log monitoring – as user) ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Summary • Manage and support Spectrum platform environments • Develop and maintain Spectrum jobs and services • Implement API integrations using web services • Support ETL and data processing workflows • Ensure platform security, performance, and reliability • Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution • Maintain documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams ________________________________________ Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field • 4–6 years of experience in Spectrum (Pitney Bowes) or similar platforms • Strong knowledge of data integration and APIs ________________________________________ Soft Skills • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Good communication and stakeholder coordination • Ability to work in fast-paced production environments • Team player with a proactive approach
