About the role
Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Senior Data Analyst Contract Duration: 7+ months Location: Remote (U.S. only; excluding Hawaii and Alaska) Travel: Occasional travel (2–3 times per year) to Springfield, IL Job Summary: Seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst to support a federal reporting team within an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment. This role focuses on analyzing healthcare-related data, developing reports, and ensuring data integrity. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of Medicaid programs, SQL, CMS federal reporting (CMS 64/21), and data warehousing best practices. Key Responsibilities: Analyze healthcare-related data to support business decision-making. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL and BI tools. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend technical solutions. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and analyses. Perform data profiling and validation to identify anomalies. Document data processes and maintain technical documentation. Provide regular project updates and maintain strong communication with customers. Mentor junior team members and provide technical training as needed. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Perform additional duties as needed to support project and organizational goals. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of healthcare business analysis experience, including writing business requirements and user acceptance testing. 5+ years of SQL development experience, including performance tuning. 3+ years of experience working with State Medicaid and CHIP agencies on CMS federal reporting or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire domain knowledge. Basic understanding of CMS reporting requirements for Medicaid. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related STEM field. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong team collaboration and adaptability. Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing Adult/Child Core Measures, HEDIS, CHIPRA, or similar quality metrics. Experience with healthcare-related data systems. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Familiarity with data warehousing best practices.
