QA Engineer

Role Overview We're seeking a QA Engineer to own quality across our client engagements - web apps, mobile apps, and backend services built on Next.js, React Native, Node.js, Dot Net, and AWS. You'll work directly within engineering pods, embedded with our clients product teams, ensuring every release is stable, performant, and production-ready. This role involves both manual testing, close collaboration with developers and client stakeholders, and using AI-augmented tools to test faster without cutting corners on coverage. Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Execution Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and exploratory testing across multiple client projects Validate responsive UI behavior across browsers, devices, and screen sizes Test authentication flows, role-based access, and data integrity across features Bug Management & Reporting Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and priority Work closely with developers to verify fixes and prevent regressions Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and release sign-off checklists AI-Augmented QA Use AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Claude-based test generation) to accelerate test case creation, edge-case discovery, and script maintenance Apply judgment on when AI-generated tests need human review to ensure real coverage, not just surface-level checks Client Collaboration Work directly with client stakeholders and product teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria Participate in client meetings, sprint reviews, and release readiness discussions Take ownership of quality for assigned features/modules with minimal hand-holding Requirements 2-4+ years of professional QA experience across web (and ideally mobile) applications Strong manual testing fundamentals: test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing Experience testing REST APIs (Postman or equivalent) Experience using AI tools (Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) in a real testing workflow Good to Have Experience testing React Native mobile apps (iOS/Android) Familiarity with AWS-hosted environments (staging/production validation) Experience with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms Performance or load testing exposure (k6, JMeter, or similar) ISTQB or equivalent QA certification Soft Skills Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for working with global clients Sharp attention to detail - the ability to spot what others miss Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality for entire features/modules Strong problem-solving skills and a break it before the client does mindset Professional, client-facing communication; comfortable explaining defects and risk clearly to non-technical stakeholders Comfortable working across time zones Benefits Fully remote opportunity Paid earned and sick leaves Competitive compensation package Opportunity to work on long-term, stable client engagements with global companies Collaborative team culture focused on learning and growth Modern tech stack and AI-augmented workflow - no legacy codebases Professional development opportunities and technical skill enhancement
