Python Test Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and planning how test automation will be utilized. Your role will involve executing the devised plan and testing simple to moderately complex application components based on functional requirements in both production and development environments. You will collaborate closely with the development team to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects, as well as verify problem fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner. End-to-end testing will also be conducted by you to ensure that deliverables meet all requirements and expectations. Additionally, you will be performing SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data efficiently. Your role will also involve detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies, reporting them to the development and project management teams. Furthermore, you will work with product owners and developers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming features. This position requires you to work both individually and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: - Design and plan how test automation will be utilized within the company - Execute test automation plan - Test application components based on functional requirements - Collaborate with the development team to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects - Verify problem fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner - Conduct end-to-end testing - Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data - Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies - Report defects to development and project management teams - Work with product owners and developers to define acceptance criteria and plan testing coverage Qualifications Required: - 4 years of experience testing solutions in object-oriented design and web applications developed using Python, Django, and Web API - Strong working knowledge of architecture and GUI usability - 4 years of experience using Selenium - Minimum 1 year of experience in database testing with the ability to understand, write, and execute SQL queries - Good understanding of software fundamentals - Ability to approach projects logically and systematically - Experience with scripting is a nice-to-have - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience - Minimum 3 years of software testing experience through a full system development life cycle - Ability to quickly learn new technologies, processes, and products Thank you for considering this role with us.
