About the role
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop AIdriven backend services, including APIs, agentic AI solutions, and retrieval components. Implement LLM-powered RAG solutions using Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI. Build and maintain document indexing pipelines across SharePoint, file systems, databases, and internal systems. Collaborate with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams distributed across the globe. Participate in code reviews and testing of developed solutions. Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in AI engineering. Act as a mentor to team members by providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and fostering a cooperative and supportive learning setting. Required Skills & Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Python backend development, including 3 years focused on using and integrating AI services. Strong programming skills in Python backend development and proficiency with Azure Cloud Services and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Ideally familiar with FastAPI and Azure Functions Experience with No-SQL Databases (e.g. MongoDB, Azure AI Search, ), Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code are a plus Familiarity with agile software development processes (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Experience with Git version control and CI/CD tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Professional Attributes: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Exposure to German language/culture is a plus. Experience in working with global stakeholders and ability to work with intercultural teams. Extensive experience collaborating in SCRUM-based Agile teams.
