QA Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of in-house and third-party software with organizational standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Testing and evaluating software to ensure it meets user needs - Creating and maintaining project test plans - Defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status - Documenting all problems and assisting in their resolution - Performing QA efforts for large-scale B2B2C eCommerce applications - Refactoring and reviewing test scripts to enforce best coding practices - Tracking testing progress, communicating status updates, and escalating issues - Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for eCommerce platforms - Analyzing software processes for improvement and integrating findings into business workflows - Resolving moderately complex issues independently and escalating when needed - Providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to junior associates Key Skills required for this role include: - Strong experience in automated testing using Selenium with Java - Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and execution - Experience in creating, maintaining, and optimizing automated test scripts - Exposure to modern automation frameworks such as Playwright is an added advantage - Ability to define, track, and analyze QA metrics - Experience working on large-scale web or eCommerce applications - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication skills - Capability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance You will be a valuable asset to the team with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field being preferred for this role.
