About the role
As an AVP/DVP Solution Architect in the BFSI Capital Markets domain, your role will be to design and own end-to-end solution architecture with a focus on low latency, fault tolerance, and high performance. You will lead architecture reviews, technical health checks, and performance assessments. Additionally, you will lead large-scale migrations such as re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting initiatives. It will be your responsibility to drive the adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release governance. Ensuring cost optimization, security posture, scalability, and operational excellence will also be part of your key responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Design and own end-to-end solution architecture focusing on low latency, fault tolerance, and high performance. - Lead architecture reviews, technical health checks, and performance assessments. - Lead large-scale migrations (re-host, re-platform, re-architect). - Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release governance. - Ensure cost optimization, security posture, scalability, and operational excellence. - Architect and govern FIX and FAST protocol integrations for trading, market data, and exchange connectivity. - Provide technical oversight for message sequencing, throughput testing, recovery mechanisms, and session handling. - Support exchange platforms, RMS systems, and post-trade integrations in regulated environments. Qualifications Required: - 12 years of experience in solution architecture with a minimum of 5 years in the BFSI/Capital Markets domain. - Proven expertise in migration projects including Applications, Infrastructure, and legacy modernization. - Strong knowledge of capital markets processes such as trading platforms, clearing & settlement, market data, reference data, risk & compliance. - Hands-on experience or strong understanding in Java, Python, C, C, .NET, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, PL/SQL, and Messaging & Protocols like FIX and FAST. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Prior experience working with Tier-1 investment banks, exchanges, or financial institutions. - Experience in handling mission-critical go-lives with zero downtime tolerance.
