About the role
As an Associate Solution Architect in Payments Technology, you will have the opportunity to define the high-level technical architecture and design for your assigned scope. This will involve providing solutions to deliver great business outcomes and align with the longer-term strategy of the organization. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating across platform and domain teams to support solution delivery - Elaborating the solution and its interfaces, validating technology assumptions, and evaluating implementation alternatives - Providing analysis of options and delivering end-to-end solution designs using relevant building blocks - Working closely with engineers and other architecture disciplines within payments spanning the SDLC - Analysing technical design issues and driving resolution through the iteration of the technical solution design - Contributing to shaping requirements, validating designs, and prototypes to deliver change aligned with the target architecture - Promoting adaptive design practices to foster collaboration of feature teams around a common technical vision - Analysing potential impacts of the latest technology and customer trends on existing and prospective customers To excel in this role, you will need: - Good knowledge of application, business, data, or infrastructure architecture - Foundation level knowledge of industry architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate - Understanding of Agile and contemporary methodologies with experience in Agile teams - Experience in defining application architectures and roadmaps for complex solutions across all layers of the technical architecture - Background in delivering solutions securely spanning a complex infrastructure domain - Expertise in designing and delivering Microservices-based architectures - Strong knowledge of Kafka and event-driven system design - Understanding of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly to peers and leadership colleagues - Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and architecture patterns The company offers this role at the associate level, providing you with the opportunity to advance your career and broaden your network within the bank.
