About the role
We have Job Opening for Linux Administrator Key Responsibilities - Server administration: Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. - Monitoring & performance: Monitor system health, capacity, and performance; proactively tune servers and resolve bottlenecks to ensure high availability and uptime. - Incident & problem management: Respond to alerts and client tickets within SLA, perform root-cause analysis, and drive incidents through to resolution. - Patching & hardening: Apply OS patches, security updates, and hardening measures; manage vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies. - Automation & scripting: Automate routine administration and deployments using Shell/Bash and Python; reduce manual effort and human error. - Backup & recovery: Configure and verify backups, and execute disaster-recovery and restoration procedures. - User & access management: Manage users, groups, permissions, and authentication (SSH, sudo, LDAP) following least-privilege principles. Job Description - Networking & services: Administer core services such as DNS, DHCP, NFS, Apache/Nginx,FTP, and firewalls (iptables/firewalld). - Client communication: Serve as a technical point of contact for US-based clients providing clear status updates, walkthroughs, and post-incident summaries over calls, email, and chat. - Documentation: Maintain accurate runbooks, SOPs, configuration records, and knowledge-base articles. - Collaboration: Coordinate with NOC, network, security, and application teams to deliver eamless 24x7 suppor. Required Skills & Qualifications - Experience: 3 5 years of hands-on Linux system administration in a production environment. - Operating systems: Strong expertise in RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu administration and troubleshooting. - Core skills: Solid command of the Linux command line, system services (systemd), file systems, LVM, and performance tuning. - Scripting: Proficiency in Shell/Bash scripting; working knowledge of Python is an advantage. - Networking: Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewall configuration. - Tools: Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus/Grafana) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira). - Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a proven ability to support and interact professionally with US-based clients. - Availability: Willingness to work in night shifts / rotational shifts aligned to US time zones. - Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Preferred / Good to Have - Red Hat Certified (RHCSA / RHCE) or comparable Linux certification. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Exposure to virtualization (VMware, KVM) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes). - Familiarity with configuration-management and CI/CD tools (Ansible, Git, Jenkins). - Prior experience in a managed-services, NOC, or US client-support workplace. .
