Job Description Senior Cloud Platform Architect (CaaS OpenShift Telecom Cloud) Work Location: Client Office India (Work From Office) Experience: 8 14 Years Shift / Working Hours: Australian Time Zone (AEST/AEDT) with flexibility to support critical deployments, maintenance windows, and project milestones. Role Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager / Cloud Platform Architect to lead the delivery of a large-scale Container as a Service (CaaS) transformation program for a leading telecom customer. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Telecom Cloud (NFVI/CNIS), Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs), VMware migration, and telecom infrastructure transformation . This role requires ownership of end-to-end project delivery, technical governance, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination while working closely with customer teams, HPE, Red Hat, and internal engineering teams. The candidate will be based at the client office in Chennai and work according to the Australian time zone to closely collaborate with the customers engineering and project teams. Key Responsibilities Program Technical Project Management Lead end-to-end delivery of the Container as a Service (CaaS) program. Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and delivery. Drive program governance, steering committee meetings, and executive reporting. Ensure timely delivery of milestones, risks, dependencies, and project deliverables. Manage multiple cross-functional workstreams simultaneously. Coordinate global technical teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders. Cloud Platform Architecture Lead architecture, implementation, and transformation of: Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes Bare Metal OpenShift OpenShift Virtualization Telecom Cloud Platforms Container Platforms Cloud Infrastructure Drive consolidation of: Rancher VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) OpenShift into a single enterprise OpenShift platform. Telecom Cloud Delivery Lead onboarding of telecom applications including: Cloud Native Network Functions (CNFs) Telecom workloads 5G applications Core Network applications Support integration of platforms such as: DNA ASIMOV Voicemail ISE Other telecom network applications Infrastructure Transformation Lead migration programs involving: VMware to OpenShift Virtualization Legacy workloads to Container Platforms Telecom application modernization Bare Metal infrastructure deployment Coordinate infrastructure deployment with: HPE Red Hat Internal Infrastructure Teams Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance for: OpenShift Architecture Kubernetes Clusters Networking Storage Security Platform Integration Capacity Planning High Availability Disaster Recovery Review: HLD LLD Architecture documents Deployment plans Validation reports Cloud-Native Platform Management Manage: OpenShift Cluster Deployment Container Lifecycle CNF Onboarding Cluster Expansion Capacity Planning Infrastructure Optimization Security Compliance Drive Cyber Security Assurance including: Security Risk Assessment (SRA) Vulnerability Management Compliance Validation IAM RBAC Platform Hardening Security Reviews Automation DevOps Lead implementation of: Terraform Ansible CI/CD Pipelines Infrastructure as Code Automation Frameworks Improve deployment efficiency through automation. Experience managing global stakeholders. Experience with Telecom Operators is mandatory. Proven experience managing large enterprise infrastructure projects. Preferred Certifications Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) PMP / PRINCE2 ITIL Foundation VMware VCP AWS / Azure Cloud Certifications (Preferred) Soft Skills Excellent Leadership Skills Strong Customer Management Executive Communication Stakeholder Management Vendor Coordination Project Governance Risk Management Problem Solving Decision Making Presentation Skills Team Leadership Work Location Client Office India (Work From Office) Working Hours Australian Time Zone (AEST/AEDT) Flexibility to support customer meetings, production deployments, and critical project activities during Australian business hours.
