Job Title: L3 Cisco ACE & Nexus Engineer Location: Hyderabad Experience: 7-10 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Work Mode: Work from Office Shift: 24x7 Rotational Support (if applicable) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced L3 Cisco ACE & Cisco Nexus Engineer with strong expertise in Data Center networking, Application Delivery, and Cisco Nexus platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing Cisco Nexus switches and Cisco ACE Load Balancers in enterprise production environments. The role involves L3 support, incident management, root cause analysis, upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities Cisco Nexus Administration Design, implement, and support Cisco Nexus 5K/7K/9K switches in enterprise Data Centers. Configure and troubleshoot VPC, vPC+, VLANs, VXLAN, VRF, STP, EtherChannel, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, and routing protocols. Perform switch installation, upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and hardware replacement. Monitor network health, capacity, and performance. Cisco ACE Load Balancer Administration Configure and manage Cisco ACE Load Balancers. Create and maintain Virtual Servers, Server Farms, Probes, Sticky Groups, NAT, ACLs, SSL Offloading, and Health Checks. Troubleshoot application availability, load balancing, SSL, and persistence issues. Perform configuration backup, upgrades, failover testing, and disaster recovery activities. Network Operations & Troubleshooting Handle L3 incidents and provide technical support for critical production issues. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions. Coordinate with application, server, security, and storage teams during incident resolution. Participate in P1/P2 incident calls and change implementation activities. Support network migrations, refresh projects, and Data Center transformation initiatives. Documentation & Governance Prepare HLD/LLD validation, SOPs, implementation plans, rollback plans, and as-built documentation. Maintain network inventory, topology diagrams, and configuration standards. Ensure compliance with ITIL Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management processes. Required Skills Cisco Nexus 5000 / 7000 / 9000 Series Cisco ACE Load Balancer Data Center Networking Routing & Switching (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Static Routing) VLAN, VPC, EtherChannel, STP, HSRP, VRF VXLAN (Preferred) TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP SSL Offloading NAT & ACL Health Monitors & Load Balancing Policies Cisco NX-OS Network Performance Tuning Incident, Change & Problem Management Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Preferred Skills Experience with Cisco ACI. Exposure to F5 BIG-IP, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), or Radware Load Balancers. Knowledge of Firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet). Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco DCNM, or Nexus Dashboard. Basic automation using Python, Ansible, or Shell Scripting. Preferred Certifications CCNP Enterprise / Data Center CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure / Data Center (Preferred) Cisco Nexus Data Center Certification ITIL Foundation Qualification Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field. 7-10 years of experience in Cisco Data Center Networking and Cisco ACE Load Balancing. Experience supporting large enterprise or BFSI environments is preferred.
