Job Title: Senior Technical Program Manager / Cloud Platform Architect (Red Hat OpenShift | Telecom Cloud | CaaS) Location: Chennai, India (Work from Office) Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Preferred About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Program Manager / Cloud Platform Architect to lead the delivery of a large-scale Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) transformation program for a leading global telecom customer. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in Red Hat OpenShift , Kubernetes , Telecom Cloud Platforms , NFVI , Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs) , virtualization migration, and end-to-end technical program management. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and delivery leadership across global teams. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Program Management Lead end-to-end delivery of Telecom Cloud (CaaS) platforms across Development, Lab, UAT, and Production environments. Own complete project lifecycle including planning, architecture validation, execution, migration, onboarding, testing, and production rollout. Drive project governance including steering committee meetings, executive reporting, RAID management, project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Manage multiple cross-functional engineering teams across infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, and application domains. Ensure projects are delivered within scope, timelines, budget, and quality expectations. Cloud Platform Architecture Design and implement enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift platforms on bare-metal infrastructure. Lead deployment of containerized platforms and OpenShift Virtualization. Drive consolidation of legacy platforms including Rancher, VMware Tanzu (TKG), and other Kubernetes platforms into a unified OpenShift environment. Define cloud platform architecture, scalability, high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery strategies. Telecom Cloud & CNF Delivery Lead onboarding of Cloud Native Network Functions (CNFs). Support telecom applications including: DNA ASIMOV Voicemail Identity Services Core Network Applications Coordinate onboarding, validation, commissioning, and production readiness. Work closely with telecom engineering teams to ensure seamless cloud-native deployment. Virtualization & Cloud Migration Lead migration initiatives from VMware virtualization to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. Manage transformation of Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) into Cloud Native Functions (CNFs). Support hybrid virtualization strategies using OpenShift, OpenStack, and Bare Metal infrastructure. Vendor & Stakeholder Management Coordinate with HPE, Red Hat, internal architecture teams, network teams, application owners, and customer stakeholders. Review High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and deployment documentation. Provide technical guidance throughout solution validation and implementation. Lead customer workshops, architecture discussions, and executive presentations. Security & Compliance Drive Cyber Security Assurance processes. Support Security Risk Assessments (SRA). Coordinate vulnerability assessments and remediation. Implement IAM, RBAC, security hardening, compliance, and governance standards. Automation & DevOps Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible. Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation. Standardize deployment methodologies using automation frameworks. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Develop architecture documentation, SOPs, deployment guides, and operational runbooks. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for customer engineering and operations teams. Mentor technical engineers and platform administrators. Strong experience managing technical delivery across multiple vendors. Preferred Certifications Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) PMP / PRINCE2 TOGAF (Preferred) ITIL Foundation Terraform Associate (Preferred) Educational Qualification Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
